MISSION & HISTORY.
The UK National COVID-19 Foundation was established at the beginning of April 2020. The aim of the project is to raise awareness of COVID-19, remember those that have been lost because of the disease, and to support the growing network of families and front line staff who may need support after the crisis.
The Foundation was founded by volunteers who were supporting vulnerable people in a local community group, and a gap was found in long term support for those after COVID-19. The foundation is entirely funded by donations and has just appointed a committee to oversee its continued efforts.
Our aim is simple:
1. Support frontline staff who are battling to keep us safe
2. Support families of those who have lost loved ones
3. Provide assistance and partnerships to organisations such as charities, NGOs, unions and mutual aid groups in a common goal
4. Create a memorial in memory of those we have lost.
THE CHALLENGES WE ARE FACING ARE REAL.
So far the National COVID-19 Foundation has established partnerships with a number of Mutual Aid Groups, Councils, and charities. If you would like to be part of our growing partnerships, please do get in touch.
